After introducing the artistic team and contextualizing the show, the masterclass led by Solange Freitas explored the components of an opera and the relevance of the themes addressed in “Adilson,” encouraging students to reflect on art and citizenship. The second part of the session was practical, challenging participants, in groups, to imagine and write proposals for ideas, themes, and musical devices for a contemporary opera, culminating in the sharing of some exercises.

Solange Freitas was born in Lisbon. She has a degree in Theater – Actors/Directors from ESTC, with training in Clinical Psychology (ISPA), and is pursuing a master’s degree in Communication Sciences – Communication and Arts at NOVA FCSH. She works as an actress, creator, and assistant director, combining theater, performance, and writing.
