A BoCA de Talk

The “BoCA de” mediation project takes artists to secondary and higher education schools, fostering dialog between creators and students. On May 23, BoCA had a session at Amora Secondary School in Seixal, hosted by Sara Franqueira, coordinator of the BoCA Sub21 and Mutantes-Entre o Teatro e o Museu programs.

BoCA - Bienal de Artes Contemporâneas is developing the “A BoCA de” project, an initiative that promotes talks and masterclasses with Portuguese and international artists at secondary, art and higher education schools in Lisbon. The aim is to bring students closer to the creative processes, showing them the artists’ work, with a special focus on projects produced for BoCA or already presented at the biennial.

With this project, BoCA aims to diversify and involve audiences, stimulating a close and critical relationship with the visual, performing and musical arts. The link with educational institutions is fundamental to promoting creative reflection, developing critical mass and fostering artistic citizenship through direct dialog with the artists and works in the biennial.
