25 March 2025

The first book about BoCA – Biennial of Contemporary Arts, The passage is possible, is about to be launched.
The book marks the end of a ten-year cycle of activity and proposes a reflection on multi-, inter- and transdisciplinary practices.

With a foreword by Tiago Rodrigues, the book brings together a series of texts commissioned from Cláudia Madeira, Claudia Galhós, Raquel Lima, Gonçalo M. Tavares, Gaya de Medeiros, Odete, Delfim Sardo and Sara Franqueira, a multi-handed interview, documentation of creative processes and interviews with artists, and a series of unpublished visual works commissioned from Gus Van Sant, Agnieszka Polska, Romeo Castellucci and Tânia Carvalho.

The design is by Ana Resende, with Rita Constante and Eunice Bastos.

Mark your calendars: the launch session is on Monday 14th April at 6.30pm in the Winter Garden of the São Luiz Municipal Theatre, in Lisbon.
The book will be on sale there and online from that day.
