Every two years, BoCA invites you to an extended relationship with Resident Artists. These are artists from different generations, from different geographies, who work in multiple artistic territories and use different presentation formats, with whom we develop a long-term professional and emotional relationship.
In 2021 BoCA commissions and produces the installation “O Barco / The Boat”, in co-production with maat and Staatliche Kunsthalle Baden-Baden, with production support from ArtWorks and in partnership, for the presentations in Lisbon, with Lisbon City Council / EGEAC, as part of Lisboa na Rua’21.
From 2022, BoCA will promote the project internationally.

With the Resident Artists, BoCA deepens relations of production and thought, getting to know and producing new creations by the artists from scratch, raising funding and partnerships for their projects, promoting the national and international circulation of their works, and establishing bridges between their artistic practices and academic contexts, through meetings and research projects.
