Every two years, BoCA invites you to an extended relationship with Resident Artists. These are artists from different generations, from different geographies, who work in multiple artistic territories and use different presentation formats, with whom we develop a long-term professional and emotional relationship.
2019: BoCA presented the performance “State of” at MAAT in Lisbon, in the context of the biennial.
2020: BoCA presented the film “Schindler/Glass” and a conversation in the context of the BoCA Online program; Gerard & Kelly lead a workshop in the context of the BoCA Summer School.
With the Resident Artists, BoCA deepens relations of production and thought, getting to know and producing new creations by the artists from scratch, raising funding and partnerships for their projects, promoting the national and international circulation of their works, and establishing bridges between their artistic practices and academic contexts, through meetings and research projects.
