Documentary on “Water in a Heatwave” presented for the first time to the Portuguese public at the BoCA Biennial 2021.

The Carpintaria de São Lázaro hosted this durational performance, with original soundtrack by personaljjesus, in which, two by two, eight performers collide their bodies against each other on a series of pedestals, generating tension in the space.
Following on from the artist’s previous projects, “Water in a Heatwave” challenges the limits of physical resistance and expresses an unromanticized view of the black queer body.
This is the 5th in a series of 10 documentaries about 10 projects that were part of the 3rd edition of the BoCA Biennial.
