In the words of John Romão, founder of BoCA and curator of the 2025 edition: “Camino Irreal is a fertile field for reimagining the world through the artistic gesture. The concept alludes to a displacement that is not only physical and geographical - which in this edition of the biennial is materialized in the connection between Lisbon and Madrid - but also symbolic and discursive, in line with the identity of BoCA’s programming.”
