BoCA Sub21 is a participatory and experimental project in which a group of young people between the ages of 16 and 21 follow the biennial’s programming and the issues it may raise. In 2025, two groups were formed, each in one of the biennale’s cities: Lisbon and Madrid.
From this artistic and reflective laboratory, in constant relation to the dynamics of the biennial, comes the creation of a transdisciplinary artistic presentation that will take place in each of the cities, celebrating the identities of each group and the intersections between them.
Through experimentation and joint presence, they inhabit imaginary and physical spheres that invite us to reflect on the choices, interactions and meanings of walking side by side. The project emerges as a laboratory for thought and creation, where the collective designs strategies for approach, questioning and discovery, transforming curiosity into artistic practice.
“Encuentros (im)posibles” is a performative and participatory investigation that questions how a generation relates to space, to each other and to the possibilities of the present, creating experiences of connection and shared imagination.
