OUT NOW: MINI-DOC ON BENDIK GISKE AND ROMEU RUNA’S NEW CREATION, AN UNFORGETTABLE MOMENT FROM BOCA 2023

After the release of the first mini-documentary in the BoCA 2023 series, with behind-the-scenes footage of Agnieska Polska’s first theatre piece, “The Talking Car“, you can now watch the film about “The endlessly repeated risings and fallings of desire“, a creation commissioned by the biennale from musician Bendik Giske and actor and dancer Romeu Runa.

At the National Pantheon, Giske and Runa starred in one of the moments “that will echo in BoCA’s memory for posterity”, according to Maria Carvalho, journalist for Rimas e Batidas. Sharing an intense physicality – and an unrivalled chemistry – the artists came together for an unprecedented concert-performance that took the saxophone, the body, desire and the audience to the limits of attraction and beauty.
