The 4th edition of BoCA launched at MAAT the Invisible Present with sculptures and performance by Gabriel Chaile and music by Batukadeiras X

The 4th edition of BoCA is launched. On the 2nd of September the Invisible Present began to make itself felt – Héctor Zamora’s mirrored balloons, with words evoking the migratory crisis, filled the Lisbon sky and Gabriel Chaile’s two sculptures inaugurated a space paying homage to Alcindo Monteiro, celebrating diversity to the sound of Batukadeiras X, with the flavours and ancestral knowledge of cachupa and the militancy of the anti-racist struggle.

This is just the beginning! Until 15 October, the biennial travels through Lisbon and Faro, inspiring us with a diverse programme of theatre plays, performances, concerts, installations, cinema, meetings and workshops.
