THE FIRST OF 8 MINI-DOCS ABOUT BoCA 2023 IS OUT: WATCH THE FILM ABOUT “THE TALKING CAR” BY AGNIESZKA POLSKA NOW
BoCA, together with Waves Of Youth, has produced 8 mini-documentaries on projects commissioned or inaugurated at the 4th edition of the biennial, in 2023. These are creations that mark the debut of established artists in new artistic territories, or celebrate unprecedented encounters between artists from different fields, such as dance and music, visual arts and participation, or music from different genres in dialogue.
The film about Agnieszka Polska’s “The Talking Car” is now available on Youtube and BoCA’s Instragram Reels. In the award-winning Polish artist’s first theatre play, there is only one hope: “a ‘happy ending’ that is not written by humans”. A melancholy yet eerily beautiful end of the world, starring Albano Jerónimo, Iris Cayatte, Vera Mantero, Bartosz Bielenia, Aaron Ronelle and a series of technological apparatuses.
Over the next few months, mini-documentaries on creations by Bendik Giske and Romeu Runa, Gabriel Chaile, João Pais Filipe and Marco da Silva Ferreira, João dos Santos Martins with Ana Jotta, Joana Sá and Filipe Pereira, Héctor Zamora, the participatory project Corpo Visível, and Odete and Caty Olive will follow.
