Podeserdesligado travels from the north of São Paulo, Brazil, to Lisbon to premiere her Live PA project. Reflecting and celebrating black narratives through Afro-diasporic rhythms, the multi-award-winning music producer and soundtrack composer uses elements of Funk, Electro, Break and Gabber.

SOLOISTS FROM THE ALGARVE ORCHESTRA PLAY JOHN LUTHER ADAMS

John Luther Adams, American composer and Pulitzer Prize winner in 2014, reimagines and recreates relationships with nature through music. In two concerts conceived for Faro's green space, soloists from the Algarve Orchestra perform three of his works for string quartet.

At centre stage sit Mikael and Orlando. Both men, now well into their 60s, share a common bond — they changed genders twice. In this raw and candid tête-à-tête, Mikael and Orlando explore their pasts and trade war stories of their individual journeys.

"The New Gospel", winner of the Best Documentary award at the Swiss Film Festival, is both a recording of the theatre play's rehearsals and, behind the scenes, a documentation of Cameroonian political activist Yvan Sagnet's struggles – the first black Jesus in the history of European cinema.
