What is the application deadline?
The deadline for submitting applications has been extended until 26 July 2020. Applications must be sent to the email reform.maat@edp.pt

Can I submit my application in Portuguese?
Applications must be submitted in English, in a single PDF document with a maximum of 10MB.

Should the application be accompanied by a budget, with a project cost estimate?
No. The application does not require the submission of a budget. The winning project will benefit from €12,000 for research, production, team(s) and presentation at maat. The amount must also include any travel and accommodation expenses in Lisbon, if applicable.

Does the value of the grant include circulation in the program of the 3rd edition of BoCA?
No. Circulation in the context of BoCA will be planned afterwards.

In collective proposals, what is the page limit for CV and documentation for two previous projects?
CVs, when in groups, can have up to 2 pages per artist. Documentation of previous projects, when in groups, can have up to 2 pages per artist.

Is it necessary to include a technical file in the application?
If applicable, the artistic and technical file of the project may be in the attached documentation.

In the case of a collective application, can there be artists over 35 years old?
When it comes to artistic co-direction, that is, a work signed by a collective, it is eligible to compete when at least half of the artists who sign the direction are up to and including 35 years old, at the time of application.
Example: if it is a creation directed by 3 people, 2 of them must be 35 years old or younger; if it is a creation directed by 4 people, at least 2 of them must be 35 years old or younger.

In the case of a collective application, can there be artists who are not Portuguese?
When it comes to artistic co-direction, that is, a work signed by a collective, it is eligible to compete when at least 1 of the artists who signs the direction is Portuguese.
