“The World as of Yesterday” is a performance (April 19th) that will lead to an installation (open to the public until April 30th). In the performance, the artist interacts with bales of paper from a local recycling centre and black ink. With these materials, she composes a visceral calligraphy, creating new stories and meanings from the scraps of society.

As she opens each bale, she is faced with a flow of shredded paper full of information in its most abstract form: evidence of our lives, passport copies, official documents, children’s drawings, newspapers, and advertisements, erupting like volcanoes.
